How many people know what an ally is? Or even what LGBTQ stands for? Ally Week is a national youth-led effort empowering students to be allies against anti-LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) bullying, harassment and name-calling in K-12 schools, it is also used in some colleges. I feel that even if you are not LGBTQ you should still support it in some way. I want people to be the change they want to see in others. It takes alot for the youth to walk through school and still try to be who they are, because they want to feel accepted or try to fit in. Even at home its probly hard for them to "come out" to their own parents eathier because they will not support them, or they would simply disown them. You can support the cause by wearing yellow. Even the little things help!
